The airport is well connected by bus to major cities in Calabria. The train station is two kilometres from the airport, in S. Eufemia. Trains and buses run into Cosenza, from where a connection can be made to Acquappesa or Guardia Piemontese. Taxis are available outside the terminal. Piccolo Mondo Hotel offers airport transport at a surcharge.
Getting around. Acquappesa can be explored by foot. For excursions into Calabrian towns or countryside, a car or public transport is recommended.
