Getting there.
. Taxis are available from the airport's authorised taxi company, Touch Down. Travellers are advised not to use unauthorised taxis. The fare to the city centre is approximately 200 ZAR. Door- to-door shuttle buses are available, and can be pre- booked at arrivals. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
The Protea Hotel President is on Alexander Road in Bantry Bay. Trains and buses run throughout the city, but driving is the best way to get around. Many attractions are clearly signposted, however, parking can be difficult. Taxis are available but can be expensive. Onsite parking is complimentary.
Driving directions.
From Cape Town International Airport:
Take the N2 towards Cape Town and, on approaching the city, follow signs to Sea Point.
At the second set of traffic lights, turn right onto the M6 Western Boulevard and continue to the Green Point Stadium roundabout.
Take the second exit and continue on Western Boulevard which becomes Beach Road.
At the end of Beach Road, turn left. Take the next right onto Alexander Road and the hotel is on the left.
